God accomplishes his purposes for us even when we are clueless about the big picture.
When you focus on God, he takes responsibility for the details of your life.
No one knows what a day may bring. Who knows if we will all make it through this week? But our God is faithful to keep every one of his promises.
We do not gain if we turn away from God in the time of trouble. If we turn away from God, we lose our only ground of hope.
You can have the cheap thrills of the world and feel sick to your stomach the next morning. Or you can have Jesus now, a new life now, forgiveness now, real pleasure now, and you will one day rise to shine like the Morning Star.
What must I do to go to hell? Here is the shocking answer: Nothing, nothing at all. If you do nothing about your soul, hell is where you will go.
God bless those who love the children God loves.
God invites us to seek his face. He wants us to know him better. It’s not as if our Heavenly Father is hiding himself from us. But we can only have a close relationship with him if we will seek it in prayer.
God prefers losers who know their weakness, see their flaws, admit their mistakes, and cry out to him for help.
Maybe we should make 2010 a Year of Good Riddance in which we say farewell to anger, bitterness, blaming, finger pointing, self-justification and a critical spirit, and ask God to grant us a fresh infusion of his grace in all of our relationships.
